HOW DO I...
Join the Practice?

Bring your medical card, if available, to the reception. You are encouraged to attend either the main surgery or a branch surgery. You may see any doctor you wish subject to their being available. If you have a repeat prescription slip please bring it to your first consultation.

New Patient Registrations

This practice will accept patients wishing to register with the practice. We do not discriminate against any person regardless of their age, religion, sex, ability, race or creed. If any person feels this policy has not been adhered to, they are encouraged to bring this to the attention of the Practice Manager.

As a patient, you are welcome to see any of the GPs at the surgery. Please advise reception if you have any particular needs.

Please do ensure that you keep appointments arranged at the surgery. If for any reason you cannot do so, please ensure you contact us to cancel or re-arrange your appointment as early as possible so the appointment is not wasted.

HOW DO I...
Obtain A Home Visit?

If you can get to the surgery please do so. If a problem is very urgent we will try to fit you in as soon as possible. Home visits are only for those who are too ill to come into the surgery, not for those for whom it is inconvenient.

Phone requests for visits should be made between 8.00 and 10.30am. If a visit is requested it will be vetted by a doctor and only done on the same day if medically necessary.

HOW DO I...
Obtain Repeat Prescriptions?

Please bring or send your computer slip for repeat prescriptions to the surgery allowing 48 hours for them to be processed. We do not take telephone calls for repeat prescriptions as this can lead to errors.

If you cannot attend please post with a stamped addressed envelope. Requests can also be faxed to 01702 603026.

It is possible for prescriptions to be sent to our chemist which is situated in the practice and medications can be delivered to you if you are housebound, or to any other chemist of your choice.

HOW DO I...
Make An Appointment?

Please telephone or call into reception. Appointments are available as follows:

Doctors: 8.00am - 12.30pm and 2.00 - 6.00pm Monday to Friday
Nurse: 9.00am - 12.30pm and 2.30 - 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Travel Clinic: 4.30 - 6.30pm Tuesday and Thursday

Remember: if you subsequently have to cancel an appointment, please let us know. Missed appointments are very frustrating for both doctors and other patients who may be finding it difficult to secure an appointment.
